This report is a response to water quality concerns voiced not only in our own neighborhood but throughout our state and country. I am compiling it from all meaningful records that I can find. Included are many commentaries to assist the reader in understanding the meaning and impact of the data. These commentaries come from many public health, environmental and professional organizations (see List of Sources) and the combined experiences of many engineers, fellow operators, physicians, public health officials, and my own twenty-four years of experience and training in the field.
Included in many of the commentaries are descriptions of physiological effects attributed to exposure to the contaminant under discussion. These descriptions should never be used for self diagnosis. Each of almost all such effects can be a symptom of one or more of numerous other conditions. They should only be evaluated by a licensed physician who has a much better view of the entire picture.
