On Wednesday the sewer mains in the area of Battle Ground that is
west of the railroad tracks will be checked for pipe condition.
Homes that are between the railroad and the creek will be included
this year. The inspection involves the use of high pressure water to
cut through tree roots found in the pipes. Some homes do not
have traps on each drain or toilet, and the extra pressure may
empty the pipe or find its way out of the system at these points.
Please cover sink drains and leave toilet lids down as a precaution.
This is expected to take two or three days. Yard signs informing
residents of the cleaning will be removed when the project is done.
The inspection is scheduled approximately every four years for each
section of Battle Ground.
